When we take on complex stone restoration like this portico we use a mixture of stone replacement and wire supported mortar repair.
Balcony Stone Restoration
For projects like this balcony restoration, we first take a survey, then we make a drawing with 3D (see below), from the drawing we make templates digitally, then carving in the workshop using the templates, then its installation time.
Stone Cleaning and Conservation
We use a mixture of Doff cleaning, Lazer cleaning and specialist stone cleaning products to achieve a refreshed finish.
Once this is achieved, we can assess the state of the stone and what course of action is necessary.
Sometimes its more appropriate to use sympathetic lime mortar repair.
